Randy Rhoads技巧根基於古典音樂,卻擁有天賦般快速凌厲的指法,十幾歲就成名於金屬樂壇. Ozzy Osbourne有一張現場專輯叫Tribute,它獻給1982年不幸墜機身亡的Rhoads,裡面收錄著許多珍貴又熱力十足的現場演出. Quiet Riot的Metal Health專輯最後一首歌"Thunderbird"也是獻給他們樂團英年早逝的前吉他手Rhoads.

想想我的重金屬生涯好像高中畢業後就被凍結了. 高中喜愛的如Van Halen/Metallica/Dream Theater/Helloween等一發新作還是在收,但大學以後聽的團都沒有以前那樣熱心了. 前陣子欣賞的新團都是馬雅或傑笙引進的交響金屬如Therion/Nightwish/Rhapsody/Skylark等等.
